Catches TD Friday Smith caught three passes for 66 yards and a touchdown during Friday's 34-20 loss against Navy.

Impact Smith had another strong performance Friday, highlighted by a 52-yard touchdown reception late in the fourth quarter. The vast majority of his production this season came in the last two games where he combined for 10 catches for 178 yards and two touchdowns. He will look to take that form into bowl season to cap off his freshman campaign.

Breaks out versus North Texas Smith notched seven receptions (on eight targets) for 112 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 40-28 victory over North Texas.

Impact Smith had by far the best game of his collegiate career Saturday as he set season highs in receptions, targets and yards. He also scored his second career touchdown, a 28-yard reception in the third quarter. He showed flashes of a breakout last week at Tulsa as he caught four of seven targets for 62 yards, but he firmly established himself as a receiving threat versus North Texas. Part of the reason for his increased work was that Chase Sowell (hamstring) did not play, so Smith may not be quite as involved Friday versus Navy if Sowell returns.
